Frequently Asked Questions when booking the inn for your wedding stay
How far in advance can I book an entire inn rental?
You can book an entire inn rental 18 months in advance. All inn rentals require a signed contract. Please note we cannot accommodate Full Inn Rentals in the month of August.
I’ve booked my special day on the Crane Estate and I am interested in having guests of my wedding stay at the Inn at Castle Hill... now what?
The Inn is located right on Castle Hill and can be a convenient location for family and guests attending from out of town. However, as an intimate ten room inn with historic spaces and furnishings, it might not work for all groups. For groups to book the inn, we require a signed contract and have special policies. Most importantly, groups can rent up to five rooms. If more than five rooms are needed, we require a Full Inn rental.
It’s my wedding day! Can I get ready in my room?
We would be happy for you to dress in our room. However, we cannot allow non-inn guests and large wedding parties in our rooms. Because of the historic nature, we do not allow professional hair and makeup to be done in our guest rooms. The Tavern is available for this purpose and can accommodate stylists and wedding party members comfortably. Contact us for rates and availability of the Tavern.
Can I have my bridesmaids and other non-Inn guests up to my room to help me on the day of my wedding?
Only Inn guests are allowed on the 2nd and 3rd floors. All others must be approved by inn management.
Can my photographer come and take pictures at the Inn?
Yes. If you have the Entire Inn rented your photographer and/or videographer are welcome to come and take photos at the Inn.
Can I have a catered lunch at the Inn for my friends and family the day of my wedding?
If you have rented the entire Inn, you can arrange for a catered lunch to be served at the Inn.
Can I bring my favorite bottle of wine or champagne with me?
The Inn has a full liquor license. It is violation of MA state law to bring alcoholic beverages onto our premises. We can provide you and your guests with beer, wine or spirits from our extensive beverage menu, or, if there is something in particular you would like to have, let us know and we can order it for you.
Can we arrange for an after party at the Inn following our reception?
No. We do not allow after parties at the Inn or on the property. The Crane Estate’s liquor policy does not allow the service of alcohol beyond a 4 hour period.
